Final Edit 3

I picked those three out of five rough edits in my previous post because they have unique building like the church one. The church has a very nice sunshine on the wall. It also have really interesting texture on the wall with the sun. It really stand out in this video clip because it is brightest one of all. I decided to give it nice, small rhythm of going back and forth like one step forward, one step backward, two steps forward, one step backward, one step forward, one step backward, two steps forward, etc. You can concentrate on the wall of the church and compare while you go back and forth in that still like you are studying the wall here and there.

I gave the snow-covered a rhythm of going back and forth with time. I did that because of the footprints in the sidewalk. There were so many of them, mean that many people walked on that sidewalk. I gave it a feeling of going back and forth like you walk on that sidewalk often to make more than one trail of footprints.

The building has a weird, creepy feeling. I decided I would make it go backward first. Going backward represents escaping from something bad. I added a few stills of going forward like you are curious what is that creepy thing over there. Then you thought you saw something or heard something, you escaped to go backward. You realized that was nothing and tried to go forward again. You freaked out again and went back. That building looked abandoned. I do not know for sure if it really was abandoned or not. This video clip was a challenging for me because I could not find a rhythm to go with it. I eventually found it because of the abandoned feeling from that building.

Trek 01 Stills

I recorded from Cream City Collectives (their website, www.creamcitycollective.org) on Clarke and Fratney street. I took stills while walking down about one mile on Clarke st. towards I-43 then went up north on 7th st. I then turned onto center st heading back to Fratney st. It was below zero degree that day. I planned on taking more stills and walk for another hour but my camera stopped working. I changed the batteries but it still didn't work. I figured that the camera froze. It was really interesting how I looked while walking, holding the camera up in front of me. Some people stopped me and asked me something. I could not understand them and I tried not to be any rude and started walking again. I saw many things in that area I never saw before. I drove by in that area several times but never really noticed anything. Those five rough edits of the stills I took from my quest in Riverwest, I decided I would continue to work with the church building, snow-covered sidewalk, and a yellow/white building.
